October 7th, 1968 was the first recorded meeting of SFTE. This year, our 50th anniversary and the annual symposium coincide. In this issue you will find columns that discuss both of these milestones, including the following:

Flight Test Foodie: Savannah Suggests – Continuing a new tradition started last year, we collated a variety of suggestions for eats (and activities) laced with Southern Charm, from the Coastal Empire members, as they will generously host the Annual Symposium in just a few days.
Politecnico Di Milano Flight Test Campaign – Dr. Lorenzo Trainelli returns with more news from Italy, and he provides details on the staff led annual flight test campaign of the Flight Testing graduate course at the Politecnico di Milano University (PoliMI), their unique Flight Test Instrumentation package, and a light aircraft recently certified using both instrumentation and graduates of PoliMI.
