Northrop’s F-20 Tigershark has completed its third year of flight testing during which time it has met or bettered all planned performance, reliability and maintainability test objectives in nearly 1,400 sorties. The Mach 2 Tiger shark made its first flight August 30, 1982 over Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. The U.S. Air Force has overseen the Tigershark flight test program from the start.
